In 2008, Seattle hairstylist and Life's Salon owner Aisha Ellis-Asim considered the glaring lack of hair shows in the Northwest region.  A fan of the large & longstanding hair shows held throughout the country, Aisha decided to fill that void for the Northwest region, thus the creation of Reigning Competitions NW.

Reigning Competitions NW has since produced "The Annual Reign of Style Hair Competition & Show " and "The Summer Reign Hair & Fashion Show" with the aim of providing a stage and opportunity for hairstylists, beauticians, make-up artists, cosmetology students, and fashion designers from Seattle, Tacoma, and surrounding areas to display their talents, creativity, and passion for hair, beauty, and fashion.  These hair & beauty enthusiasts seize the chance to compete for cash, prizes, and notoriety in a variety of categories, all the while entertaining a large and lively audience.

"The Annual Reign of Style Hair Competition & Show" and "The Summer Reign Hair & Fashion Show" are held annually and biennially, respectively.  These fun, family-friendly events have quickly become the largest and most anticipated hair shows and competitions the Northwest has.  In light of its success, Reigning Competitions NW is determined to make "The Annual Reign of Style Hair Competition & Show" and "The Summer Reign Hair & Fashion Show" the longest running beauty shows in the Northwest.

Reigning Competitions NW also present The "Beauty & The Business" Educational Series is a new focus on education and professional enhancement provided by our own local stylists community. These series of classes will touch on all aspects of the beauty and barbering industry, including styling techniques, marketing & customer acquisition, financial management, and salon ownership.​
